China Day 9
The train from Shi Jia Zhuang to Beijing:
The station was very crowded. Tracy engaged the service of a porter, and elderly gentleman that I would say was a freelancer. One look at the line we decided to follow the porter's lead and ended up on a circuitous route down an escalator and through the station restaurant. I was particularly grateful to have help with my two suitcases, which at this point were laden with gifts and were heavy as rocks, not to mention the short cut to my departing train and my handicap with the language.
